Lynn's Comments: The woman took the toy, laughed, put it back on the shelf and in front of Aaron said "No problem. Kids take stuff all the time!" I was livid. Here was an opportunity to teach a child about honesty and she passed it off as if it was nothing.

Lynn's Comments: Aaron did learn to play a few pieces on the trumpet. Through perseverance and some threatening, his junior high school music teacher succeeded in placing him in the school band, where he suffered along with the rest of the uncommitted until summer came.

Lynn's Comments: My husband really was happiest when he was in his workshop. No matter what was going on around him, his hobbies and his various projects kept him focused and content. If you wanted to spend time with him, the workshop was the place to be. Katie learned this at a very young age, which is why she can now fix or make just about anything!

Lynn's Comments: These kinds of calls did happen. In the small town where we lived in Northern Manitoba, everyone knew where we lived and what our home phone number was. It was a few minute walk to the dental clinic, so folks expected my husband to be able to see them at any time—no matter how inconvenient it was. It wasn’t until the "new dentist" aura wore off that he had the nerve to say, "Take two aspirin and all me in the morning!"
