John: Browse The Strips

Lynn's Comments: More and more, Gordon's life and philosophy was based on a neighbour who owned a small auto body and repair shop. Gerry was honest and kind and so good at his job. It was a privilege to know him, and a pleasure to have him work on our vehicles. The time I spent at Gerry's Garage is reflected in the stories I told about Gordon Mayes.

Lynn's Comments: One of the many things about Ontario that I miss is the fall harvest. Along with the spectacular fall colours were the outdoor markets with their piles of pumpkins, crates of apples, fresh veg and homemade items of all kinds. Getting the Halloween pumpkin meant a long ride in the country to a big family farm where we'd buy produce and pumpkins, ride the hay wagon, and have coffee with friends. A signature pastry the family sold from their kitchen was a raspberry turnover to die for! You haven't tasted heaven until you’ve had one of these. Reading this Sunday strip brings back all those wonderful memories.

Lynn's Comments: I never thought I'd appreciate the ease of using email to communicate. I rarely write an actual letter these days, but when I do...I buy one of those expensive blank greeting cards. A real handwritten letter these days is a gift!

Lynn's Comments: When an Old English Sheepdog gets covered in snow, he is something to see. Most of the snow finds its' way to the fur between his toes and it takes ages to pull it all out. I think my dog took more grooming time than my kids did!
