Lynn's Comments: If you aren't familiar with the old brassiere ad that described their product by saying, "it lifts and separates," then you'll miss this punch line. It was a controversial TV advertisement at the time and it spawned a lot of great comedy.

Lynn's Comments: This idea meant that I had to figure out how to add to a make-believe house. Architecturally, this posed a real dilemma. The layout of the house didn’t make sense as it was, so creating an addition was going to be a challenge.

Lynn's Comments: This also happened. My son decided to see how far a spool of dental floss would go. He strung the stairwell and the hallway and even the kitchen before he ran out of floss. I would have been angry, but it’s hard to give serious discipline when you’re laughing!

Lynn's Comments: We have always enjoyed going out to eat as a family. Getting there wasn’t always easy. When the kids were tiny, we would remove them from the restaurant as soon as they started to fuss. One of us would go out and stay in the car with the fuss-budget until there was calm. This meant many interruptions, leaving a meal to get cold, and sitting in a car with an unruly kid. Eventually, we were all able to go out—to any restaurant, anywhere—and know that our kids would not cause a scene or get too out of hand. Whenever we see families with disruptive kids causing everyone in a restaurant to clench their teeth, we know there is a solution to the problem. It takes a walk out to the car and a few minutes of downtime. It works!

Lynn's Comments: When "dressing" my characters, I often looked in mail order catalogues to see what was currently fashionable. The dress Elizabeth is wearing in this Sunday page was from the "evening" section of the Sears catalogue. Now, I'd be doing my research online!
