Lynn's Comments: Katie did exactly this while I was shopping in a department store. With too much to carry and deadlines to meet, I ran from the store wondering how long it would take for the management to discover her handiwork.

Lynn's Comments: The thing that attracted me to my husband, Rod, was his wonderful sense of humour. Once again, a true to life incident became a Sunday page. I can still hear the clerk in the hardware store laughing!

Lynn's Comments: My husband once bought a very sporty little convertible; a replica. I forget the brand name, but it was a classic two-seater with leather seats and big googly headlights. He bought the hat, the gloves, and even shoes to go with it.

Lynn's Comments: Here is when writing and drawing can take you away on an imaginary flight. You see others in turmoil as you fly over and around them in safety—trying to figure out what they are going to do next. I often wonder if, in reality, there is someone out there writing and orchestrating the comic strip I live in!

Lynn's Comments: When those thigh-exposing, bosom-baring bathing suits came out, I was one of millions unwilling to buy one. I waited until the elastic was shot in my old ones before I even looked.

Lynn's Comments: When my daughter reads this now, she'll laugh out loud–she and I can spend a full day in a good mall and wish we had more time!

Lynn's Comments: I confess…I have purchased my share of dumb, gross, stupid and downright insulting greeting cards. My philosophy is: "If it’s funny, it’s fine."

Lynn's Comments: When I was a kid, a penny could actually buy something! The corner store I used to go to as a kid is still there and is still selling "penny candy." I went in the other day and found that I could buy an actual licorice cigar—the kind we had as kids, the real thing! It was the right length, the right texture, and it had red sprinkles on the end. It even tasted the same. The only thing different was the cost, but I bought it anyway. You can't put a price on nostalgia! Note: notice the milk carton on the counter…this caused a problem for readers on the following day.

Lynn's Comments: If you can come up with a strip that has no words, it’s a real plus. With the right subject, the right imagery, facial expressions and timing, a joke with no words is as much fun for the artist to work through as it is for the reader. Strips with no dialogue need no translation and can be published anywhere. This style of comic strip is not easy to do. Artists who consistently produce wordless, beautifully constructed comic strips have always had my sincere admiration. Canada’s Doug Wright was one of these.

Lynn's Comments: Farley was so much fun to draw. I must have said this before…and here I am saying it again. If I had a favourite cartoon character, Farley was it.

Lynn's Comments: If this didn't happen, it should have.

Lynn's Comments: The other driver’s lawyer really did deliver an explanation like this. It was impossible to understand and yet the judge kept nodding as if it was all perfectly clear.
Monday December 3, 2018

Lynn's Comments: If I say so myself, I did draw up a great diagram.

Lynn's Comments: This actually happened. You can't make this stuff up!

Sunday February 3, 2019

Lynn's Comments: This strip ran long before the "trance-dance" mindless, auto-tuned, sampled, lyric-poor crud you hear in public places today. Oh. Right. I’ve done this rant before. So, I’ll just say this: where is the good stuff? Give me a list of good tunes played by a good band that writes good lyrics and can really sing! Where are the "Eagles" and the "Beach Boys" of 2019? Gotta be out there. Gimme a list!

Lynn's Comments: Model trains were added to the list, and this hobby became an obsession.
Saturday May 25, 2019

Lynn's Comments: It began with N gage, then HO, then trains big enough to ride on.
Sunday June 2, 2019

Lynn's Comments: This scenario was real, and once again, I heard from women and men who told me they’d walked out of a store because they’d been ignored. When I think of all the money I would have spent if the sales staff had been attentive, I shudder. Disinterested sales people have saved me a lot of money! Which brings me to ask: Why is it that when a restaurant is crazy busy, the staff gives you great service...but when it isn't busy, you can be completely ignored? Strange.
AAAAUGH! I can't believe I told you that!
