Lynn's Comments: At this time, I was on the board of directors at the local theatre, and for the first time, was overwhelmed by how tight the budgets were. Every show had to be subsidized by grants, donations, and the kindness of volunteers. For something so vital to the community, why are our theatres so poorly funded?

Lynn's Comments: When my son moved to Vancouver at the tender age of 18, he was about to start a new life as an adult in a brand new city. He was with family friends, but still, I wondered how he’d manage in a small, shared apartment. After a few days, he called and sheepishly asked me to send him his teddy. My smile for the day.

Lynn's Comments: Every now and then, I had an opportunity to "make a statement." The thing about making a statement in the comics is that it can't be too obvious or you are using the space as a platform. In this case, I abandoned "subtle" and showed our littered landscape as it really is!
