Lynn's Comments: This is one of the strips I actually used in an effort to find someone. The names "Stan, Gretchen, Barb, and Kenny" appeared on a Christmas card with no last name and no return address. I never did find out who they were ... so if you're reading this, folks, and you sent a card to the Johnstons in 1983 ... this is why you never got one in return!

Lynn's Comments: I don't think there's a mother on earth who doesn't blame herself for the unforeseen things which affect the lives and the health of her children. We wonder if the things we consumed or did, or even thought, affected our babies' development. We worry and we wish and we think, "If something bad is going to happen, God, let it happen to me."

Lynn's Comments: Whenever one of the kids was feeling left out or otherwise marginalized, we declared a special day just for them. We’d go to a favourite restaurant, maybe supply a small gift. We just made a special day out of an ordinary one. Worked like a charm.

Lynn's Comments: This punch line is much like the ending I gave to the Mother's Day Sunday page. Just goes to show you two things:
1) I never checked to see what I'd done on Mother's Day, and
2) When you're on a deadline, you'll sometimes take the first idea that comes into your head and draw it up. This must have been one of those first ideas!
