Lynn's Comments: A little artistic license here. I don't think I ever showed a fish tank in the house before this sketch, and I didn't show one later--unless it was in the clinic. It simply appeared for this gag. Later on, I paid more attention to such details, but at this time, I just drew whatever came to mind!

Lynn's Comments: I waited in the clinic like a worried parent. (Here the story was about the imaginary Farley.) Our little spaniel was limping and fretful, but amazingly happy and easy to manage.

Lynn's Comments: Our friends the Scotts had a menagerie at home. One of the pets their daughter owned was a tarantula spider that ate live crickets. She kept these in her room. All night long they’d chirp away but she hardly noticed. I couldn’t decide which would upset me most…having a huge spider in my room or the loud sound of chirping crickets!
