Lynn's Comments: Ahhhh, 39. It seems so long ago. A friend of mine has just turned 40 and I told her that she is beginning the best years of her life: "You're mature and confident, you've found your career, your children are old enough to feed themselves, you're still young and active and you still recognize yourself in the mirror!" Yes, 39 was a great year, turning 40 is fine, too…and you have 10 years until the dreaded 5-0. Amazing how quickly those 10 years will fly by!

Lynn's Comments: At my first divorce hearing, there were people in the back of the courtroom eating their lunch. They came every day to watch the proceedings. Better, I was told, than daytime TV. They were privileged to hear some of the most intense and intimate personal information. I wondered why this came under the heading of democracy.

Lynn's Comments: What made my day after the case was dismissed was that the court secretary asked if the judge could have my drawing. Exhibit "A" was put up in the staff room as a sample of original art by yours truly. It wasn't a comic strip, but it was still pretty funny!
