Lynn's Comments: The hormone attack story was memorable. Not for me, but for all kinds of people who read it. For years after this series ran, folks would stop me and tell me how they were attacked themselves and when! I was privileged to some personal and sometimes too personal stories. When you write something folks can relate to, they let you know!

Lynn's Comments: Ahhhh, 39. It seems so long ago. A friend of mine has just turned 40 and I told her that she is beginning the best years of her life: "You're mature and confident, you've found your career, your children are old enough to feed themselves, you're still young and active and you still recognize yourself in the mirror!" Yes, 39 was a great year, turning 40 is fine, too…and you have 10 years until the dreaded 5-0. Amazing how quickly those 10 years will fly by!

Lynn's Comments: My dog Farley did lie in and roll on my freshly planted flower beds. I was so angry with him. Lynn's Comments: How lucky my generation was to have grown up in the post war era. My children, too, have lived in a peaceful environment. I worry about what’s happening now, however. Every day the newscasts are full of unimaginable posturing by powerful men with nuclear weapons who are sounding and acting like children.

Lynn's Comments: All of the Remembrance day strips were done for my mother, my dad, and his brother who were all veterans of the Second World War. My dad was an instrument mechanic and my mother ordered all the parts for the aircraft. They met in England and had some wonderful stories to tell. Uncle Joe was a motorcycle dispatch rider. He never spoke about the war.

Lynn's Comments: Wordplay like this made my work difficult to translate, so it was not seen in foreign language newspapers. This problem was pointed out to me on several occasions. Still, I couldn't resist having fun with English.

Lynn's Comments: Every one of us can go back in time to remember a perfect starry night. Maybe it was on a camping trip or maybe on the edge of a city; looking up at the stars never gets boring, never gets old. How do you describe a perfect starry night? The over-used word "awesome" genuinely belongs here.
