Lynn's Comments: I drew this haircut before the style was really popular. Today you wouldn’t think twice about someone with a haircut like this, but at the time it was quite drastic.
Lynn's Comments: The Miss Edwards character connected me to some wonderful people. In order to research life on wheels, I was challenged to participate in wheelchair rugby! Let me tell you, it is a wild and difficult game. I didn't have a chance!
Lynn's Comments: In every panel here, I wanted to show Elly doing what moms do when they have a little one to care for. There is movement and action going on all the time. I have rarely done a strip where "talking head"” carry the gag forward. I wanted to show what real life is like.
Lynn's Comments: My grandfather used to say the longest grace when we were all sitting in front of a holiday meal—hungry and desperate to begin. Because he never went to church and rarely talked about the bible, we were sure he did it for the fun of making us wait.
Lynn's Comments: The first panel was taken from a photograph. I traced it from a photo because I wanted the parliament building to be easily identifiable.
