Lynn's Comments: My daughter liked to empty the kitchen cupboards and climb into them. She especially loved the Lazy Susan. She would lie on the bottom shelf and roll the unit around with her feet: her own private carousel.

Lynn's Comments: We lived in the country. One day a mink got into my kitchen. He stood there looking at me—almost daring me to do something about him. I live trapped the little guy, thought I'd closed his way in, and let him go. Next day he was back in my kitchen, and I was sure he was grinning at me.

Lynn's Comments: When menopause hit, I couldn't believe how uncomfortable I was. The heat I produced was amazing. I would get up in the middle of the night and stand on our deck—happy to have a -30 degree temperature to cool off in. At times, I thought that heat-seeking satellites would be able to pinpoint our house when I was out there suffering!

Lynn's Comments: We had a great mechanic and were we ever grateful. He was honest, dedicated, funny, and great at his job. It occurred to me that the people you want to trust most in your life are your doctor, your lawyer, your contractor and your mechanic. Gerry was up there with the best.

Lynn's Comments: Ahhhh...I see here that I drew the wrong door in the background. The door you see at the end of the hallway, belonged at the back of the house. The front door had a different window. Some errors I haven't noticed until now!

Lynn's Comments: Having "kid-isms" to work with made writing for April a lot of fun. Many of these words came straight from home. Some came from friends, but most of them I just made up.

Lynn's Comments: Even with illustrations, some instructions are still really hard to figure out. A year ago, I bought a Toyota Prius C. The dashboard instructions are so complicated that I still don't know how to change the time on the clock! When daylight savings comes around, I mentally add an hour to the time.

Lynn's Comments: Never overestimate the attention span of little kids. A birthday party has to be choreographed to keep them from melting down for at least two hours.
