Lynn was interviewed by Maclean’s magazine<\/a> recently for their Canada’s Stories<\/a> feature.<\/p>\n

When Lynn Johnston was growing up in 1950s North Vancouver, she loved the challenge of going into the woods and painting rivers. \u201cBut I didn\u2019t get any laughs,\u201d recalls the famous cartoonist. \u201cAnd I was the kind of kid who would do anything for laughs.\u201d In school, Lynn\u2019s antics would get her in trouble. \u201cThe teacher would say, \u2018Do you want to be the class clown?\u2019 I would cringe and say, \u2018No.\u2019 \u201d But the truth was, \u201cYeah, I do!\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
