A Reader Question about our Farley Plush Doll
Posted: October 9, 2008 | News Bites Home
One of our readers posed the following question about our Farley doll:
Good morning:
Is the new plush Farley safe for children under the age of three years? That is, are the eyes and any other choking hazards securely attached? If so, Farley would make a wonderful Christmas gift for my 18-month-old granddaughter (whose mama, like Ellie, won’t let her have a live puppy, either). I appreciate any information you can offer.
Lynn responds:
Hello there.
This toy is not recommended for children under 3 even though it does comply with safety requirements. The eyes are plastic and securely attached, the nose is vinyl and sewn in. There are so many caveats governing child safety that it's not possible for us to guarantee anything in this area! I think our plush Farley would be a great addition to a toy collection, but it's up to the individual purchaser to decide who gets to play with him! I hope that helps to answer your question. Thanks for asking!!!
