THANK YOU for the 3/11 strip. YOU SOOOO 'get it!' Those first grade teachers just give and give....lots are mothers of young children themselves,so they are on their feet all day and all evening, too! You're the best! BRAVO!!!!!! Retired teacher... and mother of two devoted teachers!

Concerning the 3/11 strip (1st grade teacher): I could swear that the original punchline read "Worse - I'm a grade 1 teacher" - am I imagining things? You see, I'm a 1st grade teacher, and I remember that one vividly. Unfortunately, I just passed along my collection of all the FBFW books to my favorite niece, so I can't go check it out myself.

That's correct! The strip can be viewed with its original punchline in the archives at http://catalog.fborfw.com/ by searching "by final punchline" with the sentence "Worse. I'm a Grade 1 teacher."
I love the strip on March 12th! I can relate exactly to all the efforts of carefully and unsuccessfully trying to keep a sleeping 2-year-old in dreamland during the car - bed transfer. Thanks for the laugh!

I haven't visited your site for several months. How happy i am that i decided to return for a visit and found Farley ready to be ordered. I have waited for a VERY long time to order him. i remember when he was in the planning stages. When the sample showed up you didn't like it at all! Good for you for staying on course and getting Farley right. I can't WAIT for him to arrive to my home. Farley is still my favorite! Wishing you and all your staff the very best. Peace love and happiness.

I don't understand Sunday's strip. Why did Elly lie to John? It only made her miserable, will probably make the evening miserable for the kids (because nothing is worse than a grumpy mom) and when John does get home, he'll be subjected to an wife who is angry because he went out, with his wife's permission, to spend the evening with a friend. He can't win for losing. Maybe my funny-bone is broken or something, but I find this strip very sad. Husbands and wives should trust each other with the truth, not lie then resent the other person. And yes, I realize it all works out and everyone has a fairy-tale ending at Elizabeth's wedding. But for someone who doesn't know the ending of the Patterson's lives, what does this strip say about Elly and John's marriage?

I noticed that Lynn went to Thailand, my sister, my brother in law and their kids(3 and 9 mos) live there, and it is quite HOT! (about 90 degrees on a good day) but many things are cheap there-they have TWO nannies, a maid and a driver, which I know would cost a whole lot more here in the states.

It's so much fun to share the thrill of visiting exotic Thailand as experienced via the eyes, ears, and nose(!) of a professional artist! I can hardly wait to see what happens next!

Lynn (I keep wanting to call you Elly) you could do a sideline of travelogging! You're so elegantly descriptive but don't stop the strip. Thanks for taking us all along.

Lynn, I caught a couple of your Thailand blog entries (but couldn't find the others). Since I'm a VERY frequent visitor to Thailand (3 times in the last 12 months) I can tell you it's even more rewarding when you get off the beaten track. We just returned from a trip that included our 4th visit to the island of Koh Jum (it's Koh Phi Phi we could see on the horizon as the sun went down) and Amphawa, a town near Bangkok with a weekend floating market that's Thailand as you dream it might be, life along the khlongs as it once was. Here's something that may whet your appetite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dLfuJQHqxk Warm regards.
