I laughed out loud when i read todays strip Mon,Mar 1. Guess thats a sign of getting old when you go from slinky to wool socks and flannel nightgowns. For me it would not be practical to fill up the wood stove in silk. I even have a flannel with built in feet?????

It's so funny that men expect women to wear "come-hither" wear to bed all the time...when men themselves have forgotten how to pay attention to their wives such that they can't WAIT to put on the slinky stuff. Tho' I've been reading the comic for years, I'd forgotten how "traditional" John could be..which was definitely a reflection of the times the strip was written in!

Cast Iron nightgown John? Ah you tipped your hand old boy! When a man really notices his wife the mode of gown if of no importance! I live in New England. Not as cold as Canada I suppose but cold is cold! My husband would never expect me to freeze at night! Furthermore my white old lady panties are as appealing as my red lacy panties. It is all a state of mind!!

I was puzzled by the strip in which Elly watched a "comedy" television show filled with profanity. As the show went on with more and more bad language, she looked more and more unhappy with the show. Yet she continued to watch the program until Michael came into the room. Why would Elly keep on watching the show when she didn't like it?

Concerning the strip of February 28: Elly checked the schedule & chose to watch that show. (Poor woman--she never has time to read a paper! And she has surely dropped that course for lack of time to do the work.) Is Canadian TV really full of curse words--especially before kiddy bedtime? Also: Please do not let this board be used to push political propaganda! As a Texan, I'd love to answer the message left on Monday. But I don't think this is the right place to do so....

Thank you so much for sharing the clip of the Royal Canadian Mint. It's very wonderful to see all the visitors willing to stand in line for a unique experience, wish I was there.
