Ah, how glad I am to live in a time when men also do housework.

I'm puzzled by the last two panels of Monday's strip. At the time that this storyline was was being published, in1981, I was working as a janitor at my college. There were other women who were also janitors, some who had been working there for years and had made a career of it and had decent pay, health insurance, vacation, sick days and a pension. One or two even had their own cleaning businesses on the side. Some of them even had husbands and children who shared the household chores, so they weren't having to clean the house when they got home. So why would only a man be a janitor? And what's wrong with being a janitor?
