Welcome back to Lynn and the Pattersons. It seems so long since we last "chatted".
Happy New Year and may 2010 be our best year ever!

(ps less criticism and more praise, it costs the same)

Welcome to a New Year, everybody! I hope that Lynn and Staff had a lovely holiday season. Thanks for all you do!

Your Sunday Jan 3 strip brought tears to my eyes. I have been Elly in that strip many times and my son has been Micheal. It was a lovely reminder of the sweet, innocent love and support we get from our children.

I wanted to say that the Sunday January 3rd strip was really wonderful. I have a two-year-old son and there are mornings were I want to put him on the curb with a sign that says “Free to a Good Home!” and then that night he is so sweet he melts my heart. What was particularly special to me is that you helped me gain some perspective. My dad died last summer and he and my son were very close. I have trouble whenever I realize that their relationship is over. But I think when I keep my heart open, there are little hints out there that remind me that my relationship with my son is only beginning and that his memory of his Papa never has to fade. Thank you so very much.

This is for Kim. I also wondered whether FBorFW would show Elly opening the pearl necklace Ted had suggested would be a perfect present for Elly. I entered Pearl Necklace as a keyword in the Strip Catalog and up pops a Mothers Day Strip in 2005 where April finds a pearl necklace in the closet. She figures John had planned to give it to Elly shows it to him. I think its neat, and yes Elly loves it. Eventually those two comics will both appear when you enter Pearl Necklace in the catalog. I think Lynn intended us to conclude they are the same necklace and that John put it in the closet because he had some reservations about it and then forgot it.

i just wanted to say that i actually DO have an uncle like uncle phil! his name is george,
and he's the silliest and most fun uncle! he's also an artist, but that doesn't mean he can't be silly.... i have NEVER had anyone tell me a "story" the way uncle phil in Fborfw did, though. How funny. :-)
Hope everyone at the fborfw crew had a great holiday and new years.
(i'm kind of dissapointed i didn't get the farley plush dog for xmas, but then again, i didn't really ask for him!)

My mom (who died in 2003) used to love For Better or For Worse because she thought it was so real to life! Every time I read it I am reminded of her. Thanks for keeping up the good work.
