The birth of a Savior may be the reason for the season, but another of the reasons for this season is families coming together, hence Uncle Phil coming to visit with Ellie and her family. Lynn probably decided not to include John's siblings due to them living so far away, and Phil is a "Free Spirit" until he meets Georgia.
Happy Holidays to Lynn and the gang too, and hopes for peace in the new year-- Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan we hope you come home safely and soon!

OMG!! Today's strip is just hilarious! It is right with my own 2 year old. She's getting into it a little more this year, but it's all about "Gimme!" LOL
This is a definite one for the fridge! Or maybe my cubicle at work!

LOve the return to the past and seeing the kids grow up again. Only one little thing that bothers me.....Phil smoking a pipe in the house, inside a childs room, not good.

Grandpa should not smoke but perhaps he is helplessly addicted. He must not smoke in the house. He should not smoke around the children. He should not smoke in the comic strip.
I read the funnies every day.

Hmmm, is that a pipe that Phil has in his mouth in the first few panels? In this day and age I doubt that He would be smoking at all, let alone in Michael's bedroom.... Times have changed since this strip originally appeared....
