Today's strip got me thinking about the year I found my Christmas presents and snuck a peak before they were placed under the tree. With the anticipation and surprise gone, as well as a healthy serving of guilt, I didn't really enjoy opening all my gifts that year. But I learned my lesson, I never peaked again!
Thanks for the memories!

I'm glad that common verbs don't become blaring onomatopoeia in real life like they do in Wednesday's strip. I'd be either terrified or quickly deaf.

Great comic today (Dec 8) - I took my kids last weekend to get their pics done with Santa - and that's pretty much how long the line was because the Photo store in the mall was giving away free 5X7's (I went back to pick mine up and they've lost it too...). To make matters worse, Santa needed to take a 45 minute break halfway through - and he was only doing a five hour shift!! Anyway - just thought it was interesting to see the old comic and recognize that this is still a common occurance. Thank you :o)

My absolute favorite strip is the one of Elly holding wee Elizabeth (madly squirming) in her arms and silently begging her not to grow up too quickly. That was one "strip" you were not prepared to give up, Lynn!
At the time, it touched my heart because of my own little ones (Holly and Lindsay). Have since relived this same feeling with my granddaughters, Gabby and Olivia. It just never gets old, does it? I hold them close and pray they don't grow up too quickly.
You have so brilliantly captured those amazing Mummy moments, Lynn, and for many of us they are like touchstones. Many thanks!

I would like to say thanks in not copping out in the "new-runs" of your strip. I know it could have been easy to simply let them re-print older strips, or let some one else do it. You've kept the integrity of your strip and thank you for not falling into becoming a satire of yourself (i.e. Garfield/Blondie/etc.) by simply re-writing the same joke/lines, yet re-capturing / re-imagining the past slightly different.
Your artwork in each strip makes everyone of them unique, and again, not becoming stale. It's sad when cartoonists stop caring and it's apparent who does this and does not.

It is so nice to see the face that has her very own cartoon strip. You look like a very nice person with a very nice outlook on life. I enjoy reading your article everyday and getting a chuckle to a good laugh from the"Patterson" family.
