Thank you for the "Comic Strip Catalog". I found the TP strips I was hoping to find. It is a great idea if someone wants to remember some of the older story lines. Thanx again, from a long-time fan.

I loved when Elly couldn't figure what to buy for Christmas. All year long I try to collect hints of what my loved ones may want to make it easier at Christmas, but when I get out into those frenzied packed stores I totally forget!!

Good on Ellie and John and Lawrence's mom for encouraging the kids to buy gifts, and to earm the money themselves to do so! Too many parents simply buy something extra and put their child's name on it, "To Daddy/Nana/Granpa etc, Love Billy" This does not teach children the true spirit of giving, but increases the focus on the receiving of gifts. When my son was very small, I helped him make gifts, as he grew older I encouraged him to save up for Christmas. My son has been buying gifts for us and his grandparents with his own money for several years. It started with dollar store items and he now, at 10, spends about $10 on each person. He enjoys going out shopping and choosing something for everyone. When he gets the 'thank you' and the hug from Nana on Christmas, he feels great, knowing the gift is truely from him.

In response Jim I’s comment on 12/4.. I agree with your interpretation. That was a shortened comic strip’s way of Michael asking, “Who are you and what have you done with my real Mom.â€

I never worked with a foster care center, but I was IN foster care and have adoptive folks in my life and I can tell you all not one of us wanders around worrying about the terms people use to describe us.

I just LOVED today's stip where Michael ate his "share" of the chocolates!!! Thanks for the giggle to start my day with!
