In 1940 I was a little 'Deanna' and a classmate loved me. I knew because the other children teased me. I had no feelings about it, I was more interested in climbing trees and hanging upside down on the monkey bars. We stayed in school together, going in separate ways, until he asked me to our senior prom. I was very surprised, but I went anyway, still having no feelings about it. By the time he brought me home, having kissed me in the car, I knew I'd spend the rest of my life with him. We were married 53 years when he died from Alzheimer's. As a little boy, he did many sweet things to show his love but it wasn't until decades later and I learned about little boys that I realized what had happened. I see us now on the page and wish I could hug my little boy husband to tell him how precious it all was.

Good for John, taking his kids out to have fun with, not to mention buying local produce. I'm looking forward to going to an orchard with my daughter soon -- only my wife is also excited about doing it, apparently unlike Elly. So it's really only like you have half a camera in our house, Lynn. For that matter, why does Elly have to peel all those apples right away? Apples are well-known as a fruit that keeps for extended periods of time. Does she not know that?

Wow. Elly manages to take the fun out of going to the farmer's market. That's an accomplishment. It's like multiplying by zero with her. John Making Paper Snowflakes with the Kids = Poor Overworked Elly. John and Kids Buying Lovely Fresh Produce Direct from the Farmers = Poor Overworked Elly. What's next? John Wins the Lottery and Takes Everybody to Disneyland in a Limo Made of Chocolate = Poor Overworked Elly?

I have followed the adventures of Elly, John, and company for several years. The redo threw me for a loop at first. Now I am getting used to it.It is kind of fun to see the old scenes and do my own flash forward to their future. Keep up the great work!

Any news on when the new DVDs will be available?
Sheri M, Aloha, OR, USA
The new DVD's have been copied and are in the process of being put into the cases. We have to contact ACTRA regarding payment to the other artists whose voices and music we used, so it's an ongoing learning experience. They will definitely be available for Christmas. We'll have them in stock very soon. Thanks for asking! Lynn J
