I have another comment on the whiteboards- how do you get the ink out of clothes? At least chalk dust would wash out. My daughter gets to use the boards herself and has stained several articles of clothing. Sometimes I think the older ways were best!

I don't understand why people are confused about the use of blackboards. They're still very common in Ohio, even in college. I was taught on blackboards all through school, and now in college, only a few of my professors teach on whiteboards. The most I ever see a whiteboard is where I work--where we have to make notes on computers that we are working on, or write reminders about policies.

Speaking of education, I loved today's strip. I'm starting to look into post-college jobs myself, and half the time I have to think "Wait, what am I majoring in again?" because of all the extra, non-related classes I have to take just to graduate. Granted, I don't have two lively children to take care of and devote myself to, but I can sympathize with Elly!

Shame on you, Lynn. Are you aware of our current economic climate? There are people with Masters degrees who would gladly take a job waiting tables if it would pay the rent. And here we have Elly whining because she doesn't know if she really WANTS to work or not - and considers jobs like that to be beneath her.

I totally understand today's strip and how Elly is feeling. You are either 'Over qualified' or 'Under qualified' but never quite fit in and may have to settle. I am going through this exact emotion with her at this time and it is very frustrating. Thank You Lynn for making me feel that I am not the only one with these thoughts.

This was my favortite comic strip before you rolled back the clock. I can't get back "into the characters," since I know them "all grown up." If you wanted to simplify the content, I believe you could have accomplished this by making the stories of Mike's and Elizabeth's families simplier. Good Luck though and thanks for all of the wonderful times with the original Pattersons.
