« A Note from Lynn... | Main | Thursday »
When Mike was a kid in the early 80's, blackboards were still common in classrooms. I know because I am a retired educator who made extensive use of those dinosaurs!

I love Monday's strip - My daughter started preschool recently, leaving me with just my two-year old at home. The whole house is quiet, peaceful, and calm - and I feel guilty about enjoying it - it's nice to know I'm not alone with my guilt!I have read the strip faithfully since I was a young girl. I could relate to the story of Michael and Elizabeth growing up -- having a bratty brother myself. :) And now, with the story starting over, I relate to Elly being a young mother. Reading the strip is one of the highlights of my day - I absolutely love the family of FBorFW!

I liked NB's thoughts as well and hope to hear from her again. I would prefer a contrary opinion, for lack of a better phrase, with reasoning provided as opposed to the posts that discourage without any real substance. Recently I began reading Lynn's comments in her books (I hardly ever read forwards, I want to read the book!) and find she was way ahead of us in terms of our opinions of Elly's younger years! Check them out!

Reading your August 3/09 daily calendar took me back a ways. I haven't heard the name Bobby Curtola in 40 some years when I helped my Uncle in New Liskeard Ontario help set up the concession stand for a Bobby Curtola concert later that night. Of course I was too young to go but I will never forget it. Not sure what ever happened to Bobby. Last I heard he was singing on cruise ships.

I have been reading For Better or For Worse for a longtime. When I started reading it Michael was in High school and Elizabeth was approximately 10 years old. So reading the strip now is all new to me. I look forward to reading more of the story.

Thank you for the strip. I love it and have for years. I am enjoying the trip back through time. I am not sure who my favorite character is but it is a wonderful experience with the new direction you have gone.
