I have been a fan of your strip for years and have seen the parallels in my own life, kids, pets and model railroading. I have enjoyed every thought your writing has provoked. Thank you.

Thanks for the back-to-school strips. I missed my opportunity for a good cry this year, as I had to work and my husband was the one to see my son off for the first day of second grade. Not that I didn't get the cry in later in the day. =) I anticipate more tears when my daughter heads off for the first day of pre-school on the 15th. Love your support system, as always!

Last September, we saw Michael & Lawrence sitting on the steps as leaves fell, lamenting that there was nothing to do. Later, with no further notice, we saw both of them in a classroom. During that semester we saw them ride the schoolbus. When Elly was out of town, John drove his son to school--and said he'd be back at 4:00. So Mike was attending a full day, even though it was rude of him not to tell his Dad about the bus. We were also told Mike was in preschool--later, that he was in kindergarten. This year, we have a Patented FBorFW Smiling Through Tears treatment of Mike's First Trip On The Schoolbus. I find the storytelling somewhat careless.
And--who can NOT tell the difference between the old & new drawing styles? It's pretty obvious.

I loved the strip on 9/1 !! It brought me back to childhood immediately, and I loved the memory. Thanks, Lynn!

I've been reading your comic since I was little. When the newspaper comics would come in, I would go right up to it and eagerly read the strip. FBorFW was always my favorite comic strip. When I found out last year that it would be ending and I might not see the characters, I got so depressed. I mean, I grew up with this comic...Then, you made that wonderful announcement that you would continue it online. I would like to thank you for that. I sincerely appreciate it. Thanks you for always brightening my day with your comic.

In today's strip I could really see full grown Liz in Elly. I miss her. Liz and I got engaged at the same time, and although her wedding came very quickly, I have had quite a wait. But now it is here and I am getting married on Saturday! I have been rereading Liz and Anthony's wedding, and it is bringing tears to my eyes! I am so excited I just can't hold it in! Thank you for all the joy Lynn!
