Jim, I'm with you on this one. Lynn, the new art is so much fun; I'm also enjoying the new additions, and hope they don't stop anytime soon, that you'll still brighten my day, every day. Have all the books, have had to re-order a couple as they fell apart. Our family was small (my son and myself). At 26, he'll still grab a book or three to take back with him to his apartment when he's lonely. I always know he's down, cause a couple of your books are missing off my shelf! You are truly gifted; thanks for sharing!

i love todays (Aug 25) strip. i've got anne's take on buying cheap clothes for the kids. the number of times i've bought expensive clothes only to have the knees blow out within a week. i'd rather spend less and not freak out when he goes through the knees.

A friend of mine --a Star Trek devotee from the day the very first episode of that epic science fiction series hit TV screens all over North America -- just told me that he absolutely adores the new Star Trek Movie in which all the cast members he came to know and love are shown starting over as Stardleet Aacademy Cadets. To be sure, some things are slightly different -- the story after all takes place in a parallel universe and is not really a Pre-Prequel but the concept obviously worked just fine for him! In a sense this is exactly what Lynn has given us..and it's also working. While the original� Patterson Clan has moved off into another orbit, the new one is preparing to launch itself on another Family Adventure. So-- "Beam Us Up, Lynn, and Warp Factor 6 all the Way!!" and == and let's all enjoy the Ride!

One of my favorite strips was the one where Ellie was expecting April. She walked around the baby's room, and looked at all the baby things, and finaly at the crib. Her comment was "All we need is the baby." I was pregnant with my last child,and feeling that very same thought! It's one that is still very special to me; my baby is out of school and gone now. Where does time go.
