I just read Lynn's comment in the 8/21 Coffee Talk: The work will soon be running as it did originally without the new material added and the characters will age accordingly. No more new additions?? Please say it ain't so!!

Of course John and Ellie have changed throughout the years. First they were raising kids, now they are grandparents. Everybody changes throughout the years what with the things life throws at us. That's why I love this strip so much. It's real life.

Good to see John playing with his kids, even if it resulted in him having to visit one of his colleagues for some quick emergency dental work. Say what you will about his boorishness, he at least engages with Michael and Elizabeth. I second the motion that Elly put down the rake (and the dustcloth, and the laundry basket) once in a while and enjoy some time with her kids.

Today's strip (Aug 24) was spot on. There are a few stores like that around me, in particular a car dealership that I avoided like the plague when it came time for me to purchase a new car. It may seem silly, but if there commercial annoys me, I can't imagine actually going there!

I like being here. It has just a wonderful sense of family. Anyone who has read this sojourn aquire's a sense of belonging because everyone becomes so familiar. I love John, Ellie, Micheal, Elizabeth and April as if they WERE family. The story's coming to an end would be grievous be it not start over again. There is an enrichening quality to the story line when you know how it turns out. I can read the story from a different viewpoint; thereby giving it a depth it didn't previous have. Keep up the wonderful work, Lynn.Your story brought me laughter and tears.

From the first time that I latched on it, "For Better or For Worse" has been my favorite comic strip. My wife Sue says that she loves it too.I looked up the website today because I happened to find a note the I had written, but never acted on, years ago. I was going to write to suggest an idea for the strip. It was to have a growth chart for the kids on one side of a doorframe and another on the opposite side for the shrinkage of the adults.I remember so distinctly crying when Farley gave up his life to save April. The same thing just happened when I found that I could view the episode all over again on your site.
