We in America are having allot debates over health care. Can you please as an experienced Canadian share your view on this topic? Thanks.

Ashley, FL

Nothing is perfect. There are always concerns about federally funded services. All considered, I truly support, respect and appreciate our health care system. When someone on a fixed income can see a doctor without having to forfeit their rent or their groceries, it's a good thing! Nobody loses their home because a loved one needs extended, critical care. Yes, there are waiting lists, but serious cases are seen in a timely fashion. I can't imagine anyone here who has lived with this enviable system would wish to see it cancelled!

Perhaps federally funded health care works well in Canada because we have a smaller population. I think this is all being reviewed thoroughly now, and I wish you good luck in your effort to resolve the situation there. LJ

I wonder why Elly would agree to go camping in the first place. Based on her constant cleaning of the house, it seems that she really does not like to be around dirt. Unfortunately, dirt happens to be what the outdoors is made of.

hi there - i jsut want to say that i'm thinking of stopping readin this comic (i read online, and have loved it for years) - simply because the elly-john moments are PAINFUL!! this latest comic with elly steaming in the car while john happily (obliviously) suggest she "amuse the kids", is a perfect example! if it were me, i would happily tell my husband what's what. and he would then see my point of view. i realize that a comic is meant to be funny, and that these moments are meant to make us laugh and sigh with a roll of our eyes at the "i've been there" of them....but really, it just frustrates me! pleeese, can you tone down these particular scenes? but, yes, i realize - i'm just one voice :) thanks for the memories, though!

Yesterday,I thought of an old strip that for some reason has stuck in my head!! Elly, Micheal and Elizabeth were going to order some ice cream. Micheal is listing all the flavors to Elizabeth so she could pick, but Elly kept saying, "She is having strawberry" After they all have their ice cream cones, Micheal asks why Elizabeth could only have strawberry and the answer was, because she is wearing pink! Well, yesterday I took my three girls for ice cream and can you guess what kind my 2 year old got and why?? ;o)
