Oh, Dear --- I'm afraid that "Cheryl" has made a very valid point. Our Winnipeg Free Press completely deleted from your little "Zoo Adventure" the panel that shows John steadying Michael as he teeters along an Enclosure wall. (It wasn't until I checked the "Online" version that I saw what Cheryl meant. And she is ABSOLUTELY correct! A VERY rare mis-step for Lynn Ladies....Pun intended.) That being said, I have to add that while others are "relating" to the troubles and tribulations of parenthood, I most enjoy recalling what it was like to be a KID ...!

Lynn, are you aging your characters as you did in your original strips or will Michael and Elizabeth continue to be 5 and 3 years old? I'm just curious. Some days, it seems that they're aging, and others, it seems that they're staying the same. Thanks.

Min, Chicago, IL

The characters will age gradually over time as with the original strips.

I've been without computer access for quite awhile, and now that I've found a new source, I'm thrilled to see that FBOFW is still here and just as entertaining as ever! Keep up the great work, everyone, and thanks for all of it!

Absolutely LOVED today's strip--how well I remember my sons crimping the hose, then letting it loose on my husband. Or me!

Abby, Columbus

That's a good ol' funny today in the Arizona Daily Star -- about their son crimping off the hose while is dad is checking out why the sprinkler isn't working! That's and old, old, old, funny! Haven't seen that in a long long time. It remnds me of something I did with a watering hose only it didn't have the lawn sprinkler attached. I gave them a good soaking and caught hell too. Dang it was neeto though! Sure enjoy your comics and have ever since they have been in newspaper. Read it every day for years now.

I love today's strip (7/27). I have been both the kid putting the kink in the hose, and the recipient of the insta-spray.

Delightful summer sketch today! Your pen is freeing up and returning to the lively, and joyous style of the earlier comics. Having Michael return to childhood reminds me constantly of my own son's antics at that age.Thank you for the memories, and reliving the years of comics I'd missed along the way.
