I am also married to someone who does not want "fancy" dishes put prefers to eat the same standbys time after time. This is not hard on my self esteme, it is just boring and I think that is what is bothering Elly. It is not enjoyable to cook the same thing over and over. And no, he won't eat whatever is put in front of him if I cook something different.

I've been reading the strip since day one (I think), and as others have said, it is the best comic I have ever read. It has tremendous depth and deals sensitively with issues that other artists would never touch. It is funny and touching and I feel a part of the family.
And Lynn, I am in awe of your drawing skill. Expressions and body language are always just right.
But I was really blown away when you restarted the strip at an earlier time for the family, and adopted a less polished style. The strip really looks like an earlier version.
I wish you happiness and contentment; you've earned that a million times over with the pleasure you've given us.
