One of my favourite strips was of Elly, sweating after a hard bout of housework, mop in hand, holding the door closed to a gaggle of youngsters, begging them to "give me a minute to enjoy a clean house"... what parent hasn't been THERE? No matter how hard we try, within 5 (no, 2) minutes of cleaning the bathroom spic and span, you wouldn't know it after the boys have cleaned themselves up (and not aiming very well into the toilet bowl)... the room was sanitized at one point, I promise!... the rest is life and that is the most important thing to cherish, not getting stressed out about 24/7 cleanliness... (and, hey, kids are WONDERFUL helpers at cleaning (with non toxic cleaners, natch), vaccuuming, sweeping, etc...)

I attended the IAAP CDC in North Bay in May. I just wanted to say thanks so much for the support you gave the organization. It was awesome!! Disappointing that you could not attend though. I love the strip. It is my very favourite. I can't wait to read it. I am really enjoying re-living the old ones. All the best and thanks again!!

Compliments on your "rollback" plan. Courtesy of my wife, I've been reading your strip (and purchasing your collections for her) practically since you began publishing, and when I'd read of your decision to begin "recycling" your old work rather than proceeding with your characters' chronological development, I figured that the product would suffer. Much to my pleased surprise, I find that your stuff continues to entertain without any loss in quality - especially without loss of freshness and ingenuity. Right now, we've got our last crop of grandchildren living with us (the household consists of four adults, three kids, three dogs, and a cat hiding somewhere, not to mention some hermit crabs and an uncertain number of guppies), and FBorFW speaks to our daily uproar like no other feature in the newspapers. Thanks for bringing a small dose of perspective into my bemused and preoccupied life.

Just wanted to thank you for all the laughs. I'm 66 yrs. old and believe me your strip is the best that was ever written.

Lynn, Thanks so much for your wonderful blog on your trip! After reading just the first entry I was ready to pack up my bags and join you! Glad you had a good time and a mostly uneventful trip! On a second note, I LOVE Sunday's strip, and Elly's explanation for the missing sock phenomenon. I try to put all the socks in a mesh bag for washing, but I invariably miss a few. I keep a basket next to the dryer for my lonely socks and go through it about twice a year. Mostly I am able to reunite the pairs!

I thought I'd submit another poem about your strip.

For Better Or For Worse I read every day.
it's Utterly funny in every way!
Come see the Patersons work and play.
Kudos to Lynn, well done!
Fabulus comic, it makes me cry
Or laugh, and you can easily see why.
Oh, this strip makes me happily sigh!
By golly, this strip is fun!

I love the Find Ned contest and the photos are so beautiful...I feel as tho I am visiting each site. Thank you for such a day brightener, and thanks for the strips. I am getting an education in retrospect with the first strips and the lovely photos.
