I just wanted to write in support of the hybrid series. I was introduced to the Pattersons when I was in my late twenties, and I connected with the adult Mike. But going back to Elly as a mother with young children, I have discovered a newfound kinship with her. I find her trials with Mike as a child parallel to those with my daughter, Kate, and she (and therefore Lynn) give me hope that yes, one day I'll look back on all this madness and laugh.

When I first started reading this strip, the kids were in elementary school. I have followed all these years and was even doing a scrapbook on elizabeth and anthony. it reminded me of my own go round twice. I was devastated when I thought this was the end and now that you have started over, I am keeping the strips that really pertain to me or my family and will add some of those to my scrapbook of "remember when? " where my sisters and I get a good laugh when we see the same thing the Pattersons doing that we did !! I can't wait to catch up to Elizabeth and Anthony again. I have time, I am only 62 !! Thanks for giving us another look see at the Pattersons !!
