I love your comic strip! I have to admit I was a bit uncertain about your controversial trip into the retro/revised strip, but so far I think it's wonderful and very innovative! You took the risk and you made it work! Congrats! As for today's strip, (June 6) I love it and yet when I compared it to yesterday's strip I wonder if there is a contradiction. Lawrence comments on how he is glad he didn't flush (as his mom is a light sleeper and it could have awakened her). Michael was the last one to use the toilet, not Lawrence. Anyway, I love your strip and hope I have not offended you or anyone about what I posted. Looking forward to every strip. Thank you for not ending it.

In reading this weeks strips, I was reminded of a time when I was about Michael's age (5-6) and walked all the way home from a friends house. We were living in Mount Juliet Tennessee at the time and my walk/hike was up hill and in the middle of summer. I had gotten mad at my friend and called my mom to come get me, but she was taking too long in my opinion, so I left. She was so mad when I showed up in the kitchen. I got a scolding I'll never forget. I laugh at that memory now. Thanks for the smile and memories.

This slumber party storyline makes me laugh. My brother is four years younger than me, (I just turned 20) and I remember his friends were just like Lawrence at that age. They couldn't spend the night ever because they had 'a thing' about using strange bathrooms. They just never spent the night, though it wouldn't have surprised me if they had gone three blocks down the street just to use the restroom. Thanks for the chuckle and the stroll down memory lane.

I strongly object to Friday, June 5th's strip, where Lawrence says "Good thing we didn't flush." Not flushing a toilet is totally disgusting. It is not funny at all.

I love Sunday's Strip, but have to shake my head... Elly could have easily kneaded in the salt, put the dough up for an additional rise, and been fine (with, actually, more flavorful bread). However, the strip is still utterly hilarious.

The strip that ran on Sunday, June 7 doesn't make sense to me. Leaving salt out of a bread dough does not "ruin" the batch. My husband makes unsalted bread every week, and it's delicious.

My local paper, stopped carring your strip and I am disappointed because in the morning I had my coffee with Elly. It was my way of getting my day started. I am very sorry that because of cut-backs the paper had to make this choice. I will miss this special part of my day.
