In reference to Liz grabbing the wrong leg, I remember a funny story about my son when he was little (he is 12 now). I was in a change room trying something on and my son was waiting with my husband. Well, my son anxious to find me looked under one of the doors of the change rooms and much to his surprise it was the wrong door. The woman was startled but was good hearted about the whole thing. We had a good laugh about it. I'm sure that has happened to many.

It is so fun reading your strip with all the fun antics, remembering all the trouble and fun we had as kids. Being one of 5 kids, I'm surprised my parents stayed sane sometimes. Now I have payback with my son. Good thing we still love our kids and have lots of fun with them. Keep up the fun.

Disappointing to see Elly, harried as she maybe, not being supportive of the use- your-dryer-less campaign. Perhaps she will have a change of heart?

I'm continuing to enjoy the "reboot" of FBorFW, your mixing of old and new is going great. One little complaint about the May 23 strip - Why Can't Elly hang out the laundry?! Didn't you do a Sunday strip recently where the more mature Elly has John install a clothesline?

I feel you missed a chance to inspire your readers to try the "greener" clothes drying alternative. Sure, its more work but nothing beats the smell of line dried laundry - unless its the lower utility bills from NOT using the clothes drier.

I understand Elly is busy with 2 small kids, etc. but I was disapointed to see her take the easy way out.(I'm busy too, but line dry at least 3 loads a week in my 2nd floor condo.) That being said - great punch line as usual!

I loved Sunday's strip! But as kids, hoping to hide in the Bathroom, we were invariably foiled by the doorknob's emergency release -- that little hole at the centre that allows any long, thin object to be inserted into the knob from the outside, instantly poppingĀ the lock. (Rescue Personnel love this feature because it not only makes extricating stubborn children a breeze, but it saves precious seconds when tending to seniors who might have fallen getiing in or out of the tub!)

I was an early fan of the strip and I just wanted to draw attention to one of the strips that showed up in a Saturday Vancouver Sun in 1980.Michael would have been about four or five then, I believe...and he and his dad were out raking leaves in the fall. Dad had just finished raking up a big beautiful perfectly manicured pile...when son came roaring through and scatttered them all to hell and gone.

Upon which dad grabbed him up and nose to nose was about to lauch into a full tirade of parental angst against the wee lad...........when a single leave floated down and landed on Dad's nose - upon which son poofed it off. End of caption.

Cut to final picture.Dad and son having a wild and glorious time floundering in all those leaves.
This particular strip has stayed with me an awful long time - and what it pointed out to me then - I have used many times raising my own son.Just a note of gratitude for that teaching....does anyone else remember it?

I have been following and collecting strips through my children and now my grandchildren, My all time favorite was when Edgar wouldn't eat the peas, our dog did the exact same thing! Hope you repeat all the years of their lives, they are all worth seeing again. Thank you for many years of making our lives happier!
