Today's strip made me laugh so much. Just last week i did the same thing with my 7 year old. She wanted to walk to a friends but i just wanted to make sure because it was a little far. Thanks for the laugh. Very badly needed first thing this morning.

I was just curious... where was Lizzie when Elly was following Michael on his walk?

Kathy, Oregon City, OR

i have been reading the strip since it came out in 1979 when i was 9 years old.i guess mike was 4 at the time, and lizzie was about 2? i've laughed and cried along with them all, and was sad when she ended the strip to do it over.i was eager to see what happened with liz and anthony, and how april grew up.

well, imagine my pleasant surprise when i found a really old library copy of 1983's "It must be nice to be little"! my daughter is now almost 17 months old and does some of the same things as liz, which makes me grin.i don't know exactly how she is doing the do-over but i must say i like it! it's like revisiting an old friend all fresh and new to me.i know she based it on her family at the time even to how they look! but did she also have a late child or was that to give the strip more spice?

i'd forgotten april was born in an ice storm.... but do remember how when elly was nursing her she was partial to one side-i remember the picture for that clearly, and my lil girl is the same way! the comic where little mike wants summer to hurry up sounds just like me! it was pouring rain here the day that was printed and i know how mike feels! i much prefer summer to winter....

i just want to add that i'm glad you decided to do this comic all those years ago and i still love to this day! thanks Lynn!!!!!

Christine K, I think we do get glimpses of Elizabeth holding her baby. Sometimes the young Elly looks so much like Elizabeth when she's with the children, it's as if we're seeing a gentle connection between the future onto the past. See the 2nd panel of the Tuesday 19th strip for an example.
