I have been wondering for some time about the aging of your characters(children) It has been less than a year since you started redoing the Patterson Family but you've had the two children already. Now that question asked I think I realize why. I just re-read What's going on with the strip and I'm thinking that this isn't a story in real time as it was before. It is now a story--all in the past, being told from a different point of view. Am I right? I've been a fan since about the time April was born into the family. It wasn't available as a daily strip in my local paper until then. I read the Sunday version as it was all I had at that time. Now for some reason this week it hasn't been in the paper and I looked on here to see the daily strips. I hope it comes back to The Stockton Record soon.

I wanted to send a personal thank you to Ms. Johnston. My stepdaughter (10 years old) has Aspberger's Syndrome and needs extra help in understanding social situations and relating to her peers. She has attached herself to "April" and relates to many of the things that she has gone through. We have used my collection of FBOFW books as "social stories" for my stepdaughter. During our recent custody battle for her (which we won!! yay!!) the judge was very intrigued with the use of your books as social stories for someone with Autism Spectrum Disorder.Thank you for the positive impact you have made in my life and for carrying it over to the next generation :)

I can't tell you how much I enjoy your strip, especially Michael and Elizabeth as small children. I joined your strip when April was saved from drowning by Farley, who died. I enjoyed seeing the family growing up. And now, looking at Mike and Liz, and their antic, I know how they turned out. Thank you for creating such a tru-to-life strip which brings me enjoyment and a laugh every day.

I love this strip, grew up with it as a child of the 70's and 80's. My entire family looked forward to it's appearance every day in the newspaper. I was saddened when it "ended" and Lynn decided to start over at the beginning. I'm still reading it - and surprisingly also enjoying the filling of the gaps. I only have a question about last Sundays strip - Did they really have flat screen TV's in the sport bars back then???
