I love to finally see Elly having fun with her kids.
Just saying.

Crystal W, Huron, SD

I have two younger brothers, my youngest brother of the two is 10 years younger than me. I recall his first words. He managed to scream a gargled "COOKIE!" because he wanted one that badly. It was quickly followed by "No." when we didn't give him the right kind, hahah...

Our local paper (The Roanoke Times) dropped FBoFW after the final strip of Elizabeth's wedding. About a month ago, the paper ran a comics poll and the readers voted overwhelmingly to get FBoFW back!! I've been reading it here every day but I liked seeing it on the comics page - and my husband is a computerphobe, so he's been able to read it only when I open the web site for him. As of June 1, we'll have you back in the paper where you belong. Hurray!!!

Peggy M, Blacksburg, VA

I, too, was against baby talk. Until my son had yet to speak at 18 months! We discovered, through our wonderful speech therapist, that speaking in complex sentances to someone who can't speak English is just kind of mean. Some kids it works, I guess, but give them a chance to learn the simple stuff first! The words started to flow shortly after we started to use simple words for everything.

To those who think that the strip is stuck in the past with a stay-at-home mom: The world was a better place when children knew that Mom was at home when they left for and came home from school. It was a happier place when Mommy and Daddy were married and most families had brothers and sisters with the same last name. If a single parent was in the neighborhood everyone rallied around to provide the missing gender model for the children. This is not bias, nor bigotry. This is support for the traditional family which is still the best climate for raising children to be happy, healthy adults.

Amazon.com says Farley Follows His Nose is by you and Beth Cruikshank, and 2 names I do not recognize: Chrissie Boehm, and Patty Weise. What did they do on the book?

Paul S, Oro Valley, AZ

I don't know these people! The art for this book was done by myself and the story by Beth Cruikshank. Amazon has made an error somewhere...and thanks for noticing! We'll check it out. Lynn J.
