I went to the whose who page and couldn't find Peter.I know this will start something, and trust me I have had some sad relationships. I have 2 grown sons now and there IS always two sides to the story. But what is the scope on this Peter.

Ah, gloppy green Spinach!! Who could possibly resist it?? Seriously -- here's a trick my mother used to make almost any cooked veggie "appealing": First, drain thoroughly. (Press cooked, cooled spinach between 2 plates.) Place in a skillet over medium-low heat and toss with breadcrumbs and a little butter/margarine. Sprinkle with grated cheese, if you wish and season to taste. This even makes "cauliflower" a treat!!

Elly's the last person to lecture Mike about eating like a pig, considering how often we see her stuffing her cheeks full and snorfing, gobbling, gulping, elbows firmly planted on the table as she leans forward over the plate and shoves food into her mouth as fast as she can, as if someone's going to steal it away at any moment.

While I miss the "new" strips I'm enjoying the old ones too- but why does Elly always seem so angry in these old ones? I understand having young kids can be stressful but geez! It seems like she's always yelling.

As for Steve B's comment about rotary phones: I agree that they are a rarity, but my godmother, who lives in Windsor, Ontario, still uses one. She tells me it works fine, and meets her needs, and she sees no reason to change it. In a slightly more updated context, I know someone who has no plans to stop using WordPerfect 5.1 and his dot-matrix printer.
