I noticed a lot of readers have many many comments about Connie "needing" a life partner. Many say she's good enough to be without men while others think it would be nice if she could find someone. I think a decision like this is up to what every person believes in themselves. Sure Connie is very fun and a harworking, independant woman. She works very hard, takes care of her son and does what she can in her spare time to stay in shape and look pretty. But even still, is it all that bad if she wants to have a man in her life?

I know some pretty amazing women, all very independant with their own goals in life. They take the time to work hard and get what they want, and yet some of them would like to have a life partner, someone they can share their life and experiences with. Others choose to remain single, the hastle of sharing all their personal secrets and habits with someone is just too much, and feel that having good close friends is more than enough.

The same should be with Connie. It's her decision in the end and whatever she chooses, I'm sure that she'll be thinking of her own happiness in the end, and not looking for the satisfaction of others.

Noticed in the 4-20-09 strip, that Elly was using a rotary dial corded phone. Nothing against corded phones, I have one, but rotary ??? Those haven't been around for years !!!!Oh, the little things people notice...... Thanks for allowing me to see the strip before I had gotten hooked on it in the late 80's.

I,too, was really sad when the strip ended, and wasn't sure if I'd like starting over. But I did NOT read your strip as a kid, it wasn't in my paper back then, so I am really enjoying starting over! I hope it runs all the way through again to Elizabeth's wedding. I think what you are doing using old strips plus adding/updating in between is working out great.

LOVE TODAY'S STRIP!! I love the strip period. It's particularly funny today because if I know someone is coming over I will jump up and clean EVERYTHING! A funny story is once a cousin who I hadn't seen in years came to town. I cleaned from top to bottom and when my husband found me washing walls, he said "Boy, all I have to do is to tell you someone's coming over for you to clean up." I couldn't help but laugh then!

Hi Lynn. Have you ever heard of a Japanese manga/anime called 'Sazae-San?' It's about the adventures of an everyday family in Tokyo. I would definetly consider it a Japanese FBOFW,except the characters don't age. The animated version is the longest running animated series in the world.(It's been going for 40 years!) Best wishes.

Just want to say that I Absolutely LOVE the new "Where's Ned?" I'm glad he's getting a bit adventurous, and seeing more of the world. :)
