I loved today's strip (April 3) Some 35+ years ago, I was married for the second time (for a total of 5 kids) and I got bored with the stay at home routine. So I decided to sell Avon. The first week I received samples of a new perfume & bath powder. That night I bathed, powdered, and sprayed. I climbed in bed with my new fragrance to a new husband, and he said "Oh Wow, you smell just like my Grandma Moffett". We are still married by I'll never forget.

What, pray tell, was going through John's mind when he boasted that Elly looked like a high-class call girl? Is he so stupid, so boorish, so unfeeling that he can't see how hateful it is to tell his wife, who we all know spent her life feeling anxious about her looks, that their friends will think that he left his dowdy old housefrau of a wife home and hired the best business girl in the business? What's his major malfunction?

Lynn,
Can you do a "another Place/another time" strip once in a while and show Iris doing an kind deed. Or Mike and deanna in the food store...It doesn't have to be a story line just a funny happening in one stript.Like how the Sunday strips are just one day of something funny.

I loved today's strip with the bright, assertive eleven year
old baby sitter, Karen. Thank you for prompting us to check Elly's age (24) when she was pregnant with Michael who will turn six this month. Since Elly added two years to her own age I got an "aha" moment when I realized she did it to let Karen know that she knew Karen was adding on two years so that she would fit a requirement for minimum age for baby sitting. I could write an essay about specific instances where younger kids that you know well and that your kids like, are a better deal (as long as their parents can back them up if there is a real problem, or the parents can be quickly summoned home) than many teenagers. I don't really think fibbing is funny, but in this comic, it is.
