Image of Elly Michael decided this weekend he wanted to learn to cook! I'm certainly not going to discourage him; it's a skill everyone needs sooner or later. This
is the supper we came up with for his first venture into haute cuisine:

Cheapie Weenie Casserole:
1 pkg cheap weenies
1 can Campbells tomato soup
leftover mashed spuds
cheddar cheese

Cut weenies lengthwise then across the middle. (Coin slices are not as good as slices that fold into your mouth.) Put weenies into casserole. Dump can of tomato soup onto weenies and pat down. Put mashed spuds on top and pat down. (You need enough mash to cover the top of an 8" casserole).

Put slices or grated cheddar cheese on top and bake uncovered in 350 degree oven until the soup bubbles around the edge of the pot. Serve with something green. Peas work and can be patted into the spuds (easier to eat with a fork) This tastes great cold (trust me) and keeps for about 3 days. You can add chopped green onion to the spuds for a gourmet touch.

Dessert:
1 can sliced peaches
fresh fruit
Dump can of peaches into bowl. Cut up fresh fruit- apples, oranges, strawberries and mix in. The syrup from the peaches keeps the apples from turning brown and makes everything slide down the throat better. This can be served with one or 2 mini marshmallows. Good stuff!
