« Thursday January 8, 2009 | Main | Elly's Letter, Monday January 12, 2009 »
So I have a serious request for you to consider: Will you think about having the Patterson's "occasional" letters written from the time you ended their story? I like to think of the newly revised strip as Ellie's memoirs--something she is leaving for the grandchildren. But I really miss the family you created and want to know how they are. How much effort could it take just for a short letter to say Ellie and John are on vacation and let us know how April is doing in college for instance? It would require no involved story --just a "Hi, we are fit and happy and John bought a new caboose that he is adding to the train set outside" It would be such a happy little addendum. What do you think?

Hi,
Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed reading along as Michael grew up. I was born in 1975, went to highschool from 92-96, then Peace Corps Honduras (like Deanna), got married in 2000, then had my daughter in 2002 (like Meredith) and son in 2005 (like Robin). It was like I did everything right before or right after Michael or Deanna did it. Glad to finally have a chance to tell you all about the coincidence!

I love your comic strip, I'm so happy you are re-running it! I hope it continues for some time to come because it's really the only one I read. I hope you are doing well,
Keep those wonderful stories coming, you are so talented and I know God has a very special purpose and plan for your life!
