hi,
i really enjoy your strip, this past year i was diagnosed with cancer, and during the chemo treatments i could always rely on "for better or worse" to give me a smile and uplift, i always new that every morning when i woke up i could look forward to reading your strip in the paper. my days seemed long but i saved those strips by cutting them out and saving them to read when i was down. sometimes they really do reflect what goes on in every day life, for that i don't feel alone. you know the best medicine in the world is laughter, and i'am glad your strip is the prescription i needed. thankyou and god bless.

I'm so glad the daily chat is back! I'm looking forward to all the new year holds for the Patterson family.

Jessica H. has an eagle's eye for detail...! And she's right: phones with cords on them, no computers, dated jargon, --all these may puzzle new-age readers. But these apparent anachronisms can also act as "time stamps".... Garrison Keillor's "Lake Wobegone" is definitely a 1950's town, yet people born in the 1970's and later have enjoyed strolling its "angle-park", generally meterless downtown atreeta and encountering its odd -- but familar -- bevy of residents!
(One touch I like is Elly's beighbours -- meek, harried homemaker Ann on the one side, and Swingin' Single Mom Connie on the other. Kind of captures her own position, don't you think?)

Dear Lynn,
Imagine my surprise this morning went I went to read your weekly comment and lo and behold, there is coffee talk, back again! While it will be interesting to read what fellow fans think of the "new-runs", I am going to miss the weekly peak into "Lynn's world"! I hope we will still hear from you occasionally!

it had been such a long time since i'd read your strips. i just read 2 yrs worth over the past couple of days...lol. i must say that i was shocked to see it end after elizabeths wedding. it's really a shame that there won't be any new strips, but i guess as they say "all good things must come to an end".
i own a couple of your comic books and my children love to sit down and read them now. i thank you for making a comic strip that makes you laugh and cry and see life how it really is. you've done a fantastic job

Hello Lynn,
My mother had one for your older books, and i used to find them cute back then now however having 2 children of my own and a full time job i read them over and over again and laugh because Elly reminds me of myself so much. Thanks-you for making me laugh. I will miss the comics of when the kids were older however i am so thankful that you are not taking away the Pattersons. Thanks-you and all the best in 2009

So glad to have coffee talk back.
Just wanted to tell you that I got "The Bestest Present" for Christmas (after some very heavy hints to my husband, and some panic when they ran out) and I absolutely loved it. I cried. No surprise! Lizzy so reminded me of my baby, especially with the thumb-sucking and the sad little lost look when she was missing her bunny. Elanor is also very fond of bunnies, though she doesn't have one particular special friend as yet. She spreads her favors over a whole menagerie that makes it difficult for her to fit in her bed. Thanks again for reflecting my family yet again.
