Lynn,

I was so impressed to read about your helping the folks in Peru with the Medical Mission. You have such a compassionate heart. It shows in the strip of course, but, it also shows in who you are as a caring person. What a good mentor you are to those who know you, and also to us who read about your adventures. You make me smile.

i am in la & reading the latimes. they are trying out 3 other comics, along with FBorFW at 5 weeks each. the la times has not run this comic since its inception. i want to read this comic & not the try-outs. let them kick out the space man. i agree some comics lose their verve, or perhaps never had it. FBorFW has been a faithful companion now for many years. i want to catch up on the early years.

I have read FBFW for years. It is now #1 on my favorites bar, and I open it even before my favorite political website. For some reason, I had never read episodes with Phil until the last few weeks. I love him, and I hope that he makes more appearances in the future.

Uncle Phil and Michael..boy does this strip show its age.."big boys don't cry"? Enlightened parents encourage boys to be able to experience with acceptance a whole range of emotions. This is why most of the alcoholics, substance abusers etc are men..

Hooray for the forum's return! Please, No killjoy kvetching about Connie's "needing" a man, Elly's non-involement with Environmentalism, John's ignorance of Basic Housekeeping ... etc, etc.

I'm glad I kept this site bookmarked. Michael is turning out to be a real treasure: it's great to be able to look at Life once again through the eyes of a Child....!

Hi! I love FBorFW and have bought all the albums because here in Sweden we can not read the strip in the papers. Now that I have found this page I can read every day :)

I am so glad we can keep up again daily.... YAHHHOOO for YOU Lynn....

Lynn, I have loved FBorFW for over half of my life. I so miss my friends whose story stopped a few months ago. I am still grieving over this loss and the "new" retro strip just adds to that ache. I miss April (and her friends), Deanna, Merrie, Robin, Gord, Tracey, Jim, Iris (oh, especially Iris) and everyone else. Is there ANY chance we'll see a new book that revisits the present day extended Patterson family? Do you find yourself missing them as well?

Also, why didn't you refocus the strip on Elizabeth's new family? Perhaps Liz, Anthony, and his daughter could have moved to Mtigwaki so Liz could resume her teaching career there. We would have had an opportunity to get to know Liz's Mtigwaki family better while she adjusted to married life and motherhood. It would have been a fresh perspective AND we could have had occasional visits from the other Pattersons. Why, why, why. :(
