I have been a loyal reader for years,(over 20). I was wondering what is going on with the Elizabeth & Anthony, the last that we shall them they were headed by to Anthony's for Christmas.
Please have some strips with Anthony & Elizabeth.
Will continue to enjoy.

You've spent so many years developing Mike and Dee as characters, and it seems that whenever the kids appear, Mike and Dee act completely out of character, and become bumbling, personality-free parents with their jaws on the floor as their kids say silly or rude things. If I wanted to read one of those kind of strips, I'd turn to any other family-based strip in the paper. I just think FBorFW is too good to reply on this sort of boring "Kids say the darnedest things" humor. I'm not saying that the kids shouldn't appear, but Mike and Dee should take a stronger role when they do. I remember how smart and tough Dee was when Meredith was first born, and I have a hard time believing that she'd be such a pushover now.
I also think the kids are being written as too mature. Robin seems about age appropriate although a little babyish, but Meredith acts like an eight year old, and Anthony's daughters acts more like a five or six year old.

I don't understand why people out there aren't thrilled with Liz and Anthony getting back together. I was so sad when they broke up, even tho they were young. Then they grew up thru many life experiences, some very painful. When they found each other again, I was ecstatic! They belong together and understand each other. Liz will be the mother Francie obviously wants so much, but doesn't have.
Re the old strips, Michael was around 12 when I first started reading, so I'm not enjoying them as some others are. I actually am disappointed in Elly's seeming dissatisfaction being an at-home mom. But it doesn't matter, because I am a HUGE FAN.

Lynn, I *loved* your strip on Sunday!
Having taken on the challenge of organizing and digitally scanning 2700+ slides (secretly, for a surprise wedding anniversary present!) for my parents several years ago, your strip hit home once again.
Thanks for the laugh. Looking back, it was worth it, but while I was doing it, I seriously questioned my sanity.

Not a fan of the proposed new direction. Think it a bit complex for daily use. Think author riding a barbwire fence. Stop strip or hire more help. Running old strips not interesting.

I read FBOFW comic daily and just had to laugh with how much Michael, Deanna and I have in common. We are the same age, got married at the same time, had our first children (daugters) at the same time and today, while reading, I just laughed aloud again because of the similarities between our lives! We had finally arranged to have our daughters in their own rooms a couple of months back and without fail, they end up sleeping together every night! I appreciate Lynn's honest portrail of raising children and being a young family. It is not always easy; the children may be rowdy at times, but at the end of the day the love the family has is what is valued. It is quite refreshing and at the same time feels familiar to read her comic strip.

I have always LOVED every thing about you and the strip...until today ...I could not figure out what was bugging me... and it is Deanna's hair cut ... it is so awful.... everyone is always right on target ...but this haircut is dated and makes her look old and hard.

Todays strip about separate rooms for the kids nailed it. Hilarious. With four boys and a girl, I speak with authority!

Having so enjoyed your comic strip through the years, I'm deeply saddened to see you "retire" and start with repeats. I've been able to relate to your comic, while my children were growing up, and after having my fourth "little surprise". I still check your comic on the internet everyday. And enjoy seeing that I'm not the only one getting "older" and having issues. I feel like you are all family and will miss you. I hope you have success with your repeats, and they're still relateable to people of today. Please enjoy your "semi-retirement". I can understand that life is too short not to start enjoying yourself more!
Thanks for so many years of smiles and tears!

I have been a fan of FBorBW for years. My three children grew up with the Pattersons.
I cried when Farley died. And gifted his book to friends who lost a pet. You have been a part of my life, Lynn. And I wish you the best in your semi-retirement. I was totally confused when I noticed the difference in your drawings. I prayed you were not ill. Last week I happened to notice the website on your Sunday strip.
Thankfully, all is well, just changing. I will now frequent the website which I have found very interesting. I'm happy to place your face with your name as many times I felt you were writing about me as many of your fans have written. I love the idea of the old being revamped a little. And am looking forward to rereading the old strips.
