Just another thank you--I figure you can never get too many. =) Yesterday my whole family was tired and cranky, so I put in our dvd of the animated fborfw, and we all watched an episode together, cuddled up with blankets and pillows all over the living room. The 6-year-old stayed quiet and happy for half an hour, and even the 2-year-old enjoyed the break. You are our life-saver on bad days, Lynn!

I find that I can not go even one day without reading your strip. I have it in my favorites on my homepage so that I can read it first thing. I love the fact that I can go back and read ones that I do happen to miss. I just love you and your family. Best to you and your family.

I may be one of the very few and far between, but I like the fact that Elizabeth is finally taking control of her life. While the "let's go home" to Anthony on New Year's Eve has not yet been elaborated on, and there's no indication that any hanky-panky went on, so what if it did? This isn't the 18th Century, and no one needs to be led into a marriage blind, like Therese was. If living together with Anthony allows Liz to see what a manipulative skeeze he has been for years so that she can walk away before she makes a commitment that she'll deeply regret, good for her! And if she finds that she doesn't mind what she finds, or that her opinion is far different from mine, then risking the shaking heads and tsks of disapproval from modern-day Puritans was worth ignoring to make an informed decision.

Iris is an incredible woman. Putting up Jim's first wife's picture was a very selfless thing. You have touched on her self doubts about caring for Jim. I'd like to see a script where the kids do something very special just for her to reinforce the wonderful caregiver she is.

Like Liz, I have traveled far from home to experience new ways of living. I am now studying to become a nurse here in Scandinavia- an education that can be quite stressful at times. I turn to the Pattersons for a daily dose of smiles an a perspective. Thanks for the daily breath of fresh air!

Okay, that does it. I believe today's strip is the most pure explanation of what love is I've ever seen in print. Thank you for starting my day with such beauty!

I've been reading your strip forever, and there have been many, many moments when I laughed, cried and shared with the "people" that I've come to know and love. Today's strip was so poignant, so very loving. I wish I knew Iris, to tell her what a lovely spirit she has, and how the gift she gave Jim, and continues to give him, resonates in me. Thank you for creating these wonderful characters that, like the Velveteen Rabbit, seem to come to life with just a little bit of love.

What a wonderful strip today! Portraying Iris in this way - being confident, secure, and loving enough, as you said, to display Marian's photo - is lovely. Thank you.

Dear Lynn,
Your strip has been my favorite for years. I can't tell you the number of times you have struck an emotional chord and brought tears - either of joy or sadness. Your sweet grasp of the human condition and love for family is beautiful. I've wanted to write you so many times but today's strip - 1/24 - was finally the one! Thanks for enriching my life each morning.
