Letters to Lynn, part 3

From Laurie M in Sarnia, Ontario:

Dear Lynn
I wrote to you in 2000. I had read an article about you having Dystonia. I had brain surgery in Pittsburgh for Hemi-Facial Spasm.I have had 2 brain surgeries the second one worked. My face twitched 24/7 for 15 years. My sons name is Michael. I started reading your books when he was born. They fit so perfectly into our lives.I also had a daughter. I loved reading your books when they were growing up. I then went through a divorce in 2005.It was difficult to keep reading them even though I love your writing. It was the family life that i missed so much. I still read you comic strips. You actually wrote me back. I remember telling you that you could have the same surgery for you distonia. I was just wondering how your health is now and how you are coping with the Distonia. I am still cured 7 years later!!! My son in now 22 and my daughter is 19.My son loved reading your books. I hope all is well with your health.

Lynn's response: Dear Laurie, My dystonia went into remission when I went off Hormone Replacement Therapy. It's such a relief. I thought it would be "me" forever! I'm glad to hear you are still cured. BRAVO. It's good, too, to know you still enjoy my work! All the best to you and your family. Sincerely,
