I use to get the comic strip via email everyday, then the subscription ran out. And then I found this new site. I just love it. I have spent all day getting reaqquainted with the clan and I'm glad I've found you again. Keep up the good work. Oh yeah! I just wanted to mentions that some of the stories I cried.

FB or FW became my favorite strip in the early 80's. It is the one I save for last. You have been able to put the little truths trials, and joy of everyday life into a language that is universally understood. Thank you for the sacrifice of your time to make our morning "cuppa's" so satisfying. Thank you, Janet(Good luck Anthony!)

Sunday's strip was very funny and refreshing! After seeing Liz try to pretend to be all grown up and perfect such as the last few strips with her--we finally get to see the real Liz we all like.
It's nice to see evidence that Liz is no where near able to be an adequate stepmother and partner, since she can barely take care of her own needs. Between this and her meals of mac and cheese, hopefully the character will realize that she is no where near ready to settle down.

I have been reading FBorFW for several years and have a Michael and Elizabeth(her name is Jennifer) who are a little older than the strip characters. I laughed out loud when I read the strip on Sunday, the same thing happened to my Jennifer, who is a fourth grade teacher. I am enjoying the hybrid, especially the early strips with Grandpa Jim and Grandma Marian, who remind me so much of my parents and their relationship with my children when they were young. My day would not be complete without reading FBorFW.

Hello Lynn and brilliant Team!!
I have taken a few weeks now to adjust to the changes; I have to say I was a little worried. Here's the verdict, if you all care! I love the old strips it really is what got me hooked back in high school in 1979; I soon had every book in your collection as well as some rare art work you drew and my husband discovered my husband gave me as gifts over the years (Paper is the traditional first anniversary so your strip is my most treasured gift). I think you are a brilliant pioneer. I read a lot about you not only the Pattersons and you have helped all of us deal with issues in our lives through laughter, grace and understanding. The new format brings back a lot of memories and of course it has been fun to find them in the collection and read the whole page...soon I am stuck in one of the books and my kids are wondering where dinner is. The point is your strip means something different to every one who reads it. However, I love that you had characters that aged and story lines that parallel the lives of so many of us. I want to see Liz and Anthony get married, April become a Vet, Michael become an accomplished writer and mike's family grow. Elly and John enjoy retirement, grand children and friends (you too can live vicariously through your characters, its great therapy Lynn). I am still adjusting but, I will always be an admirer of your amazing work, for as long as we are blessed to have you. Lynn, embraced your new beggings no matter what road blocks get tossed in front of us there is ALWAYS an new path to take even if you have to pave it yourself!!!! Thank you for MANY, MANY years of being our extended family-your readers love the Pattersons and Lynn Johnston-you Rock!!!

I, for one, love the hybrid strips. I have read FBorFW as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed it. Keep up the good work whether it be new work or the "flashbacks"!

I just absolutely love your strip. It's the first one I read every day, and I have been reading it for many years. It never fails to give me a chuckle, except when Farley died. It's so true to life. Keep it coming, and I hope it never leaves our paper.

Lynn,
I had read about your health problems and how you were considering cutting back on producing new strips. The Chicago Tribune has been running some of your strips from years ago. I am curious as to how your technique has improved. Your current art work is much more sophisticated than the early stuff. It's almost as if two different artists had created them. Regardless, I do enjoy the Patterson family's adventures.
