Tuesday Mornin' Mail

I've really enjoyed the Patterson family story. I appreciate the way they've grown up along the way as opposed to The Family Circus, where everyone has always been the same age. I have thought, without knowing, that many, if not all, of the story lines are a reflection of the creator's experiences.

I cannot ever remember NOT seeing the strip in our daily paper. No matter what format is used I'll always love and keep the Pattersons dear to my heart. Some people have "soap operas" I perfer the Pattersons. I am 41 now and really feel like I've grown up with the family. when I got divorced 5 years ago your strip is one thing that kept me optimistic throught it all.
Lynn you and your Patterson family are greatly appreciated and loved here in Elkhart Indiana.

Hi, Lynn! I've so enjoyed your comic strip for so many years and I look forward to enjoying it for many years to come. Keep drawing and keep happy!!

I just got caught up on the news about the new format, etc.

Although I'm not sure about the new format, I understand. Its not reruns for me as I do not remember reading the comics back then. I am enjoying them. Even if it was reruns, I can tell the artwork is newer (as I remember reading them when the Patterson kids were little, and remember when April was born, etc.)

I am so excited to see Liz and Anthony get back together. During the past couple of years I've watched her struggle with boyfriends, and when Anthony married, I was sad, because I did not think he belong with Thérèse and felt the tension between the three of them. Just a couple years later a similar thing happened to me, only I was not only the ex girlfriend, but also ended up with the catch!! I am so rooting for Liz, as I think they belong together. They have both matured so much and often that is what it really takes for a relationship to work.

Anyway, you don't actually have to post any of this on the website, but wanted to let Lynn know my thoughts. I have this site bookmarked on my startpage I created, so I always can see the newest strip first thing!

Oh PS...Lynn is my middle name!!

Have enjoyed reading your cartoon for many years. Luckily Stars and Stripes in Europe carried your strip so I never missed a single day. Found following your family's life fascinating, sometimes like a comic soap opera. I like the others would like to see April graduate and Liz either get married or decide not too. Keep up the good work.

I have been reading FBorFW since the early 80's. It's my morning cup of coffee - seems I can't start the day without reading what's happening.
best wishes go to you

I have been reading your strip for years. Michael was in the second grade when our newspaper began carrying it, and our own children were about the same ages as Michael and Elizabeth. I remember when April was born, on April Fool's Day in a blizzard, and I remember Farley's heroic death. I feel like the Pattersons are our friends. Congratulations, and I enjoy reading about the early days.

Lynn, Cannot begin to tell you how these strips relate to my life as well. I have so many cut out and tacked to my bulletin board because I could not bear to part with them. I have laughed out loud and cried, sighed, and just did it all! Thanks for the many years of reading and enjoying life with you through FBorFW.

Dear Lynn,

I love your artwork. It has been interesting watching your characters age down through the years especially Elly's parents. Reading today's strip is like going back in time. Grandpa Jim reminds me of my own father who, too, aged gracefully. I like how you've made Elly, in the present, look so much like her mom 30 years ago. Your comic is very true to life. That's why I enjoy reading it so much.

Best Regards,
