Monday Mail Call

Hi: I am a few months younger than Grandpa Jim and have followed the Pattersons for a very long time. My family has all gone and moved on and the Pattersons have been my family for some years -- I truly love them all. I thank you for all the wonderful life experiences I have had with them. To me, they are REAL

Thank you, Lynn for promoting good oral health all these years through your comic strip. One of the most touching strips I remember was when the dentist was in a taxi complaining sbout the bad weather ( He must have had a bad day at the office) and the taxi driver explained that compared to conditions in his home country, where his family still lives, even the worst weather here still signifies a good day. Good luck with the new path of fborfw.

Today's Sunday comic was hilarious! It looked as though after Elly finished defleaing the dogs, that John was next! LOLOLOL!

a joy to get up every morning and continue the adventures of the pattersons. your view on life is warm, wholesome, and caring. it is also right on the money, to lose the strip would be like losing a family member. i know all things change and move on but the joy you bring is irreplaceable bless you

I just want to thank you for bringing happiness to our homes with your comic strip. The Pattersons are like members of my family - I share theirs joys and sadness as well as their craziness. Also, thank you for bringing back some of the older story lines. They might be old but they're new to me since I missed your earlier years.
Sincerely,

Ricky, Apopka, Florida

Hi again Mizz Lynn! I cracked up laughing out loud when I got to page 134 of October's issue of Elle (American issue). If you have a chance check it out! Thanks to you, I already knew about the "indigenous baked goods" !!! :)

(And you printed my letter- how cool! At last I am immortal and international- at least until I get deleted! :P

Sorry about all the exclamation points, but they ARE my favorite on the keyboard!)

FBorFW is the ONE comic strip I read faithfully. Our Michael is named Jared. Our Elizabeth is named Amanda, We have an extra (Ben) but our April is named Elizabeth and was a surprise-blessing baby born in 1990, ten years after Ben. Imagine my delight when Elly became pregnant unexpectedly while I was still reeling from our own news. About that time, Jared asked if you had a spy cam in our house somewhere.

A few weeks back there was a lovely storyline in which Shannon got up in the cafeteria and demanded an end to persecution of students with special needs. Several people wrote in to say that it was unrealistic to show the kids applauding her courage.

Here's a real-life story of standing up to bullying that may change the minds of skeptics.

Kids are capable of doing the right thing.

I am enjoying the new format but wish we could still see more of Shannon and her class. Positive portrayals of people with special needs are so rare in the comics. Thanks, Lynn: hope others will follow your example in working against one of the big unquestioned prejudices in the world, the prejudice against people with cognitive disabilities.

I am really enjoying the current strips where Michael is telling his children about his life when Elizabeth was born. I've been following your strip for years but can't remember 'the old days'. My 18 yr. old granddaughter just started at Concordia & likes your book I gave her (Leaving Home). Thanks for being our 'anchor' in our daily lives.

Lynn,
Just wanted to say how much I love your comic strip. The Pattersons are like long time friends who face the same day to day troubles that we all do.

I love the idea of mixing the old in with the new. I have several of your books and enjoy rereading them again and again. I never get tired of taking a break with the Pattersons.

Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us.
