Triple-mocha Thursday

I love today's strip it made me laugh out loud. It is my husband through and through, he is always telling the kids stories and I am forever telling him to "set a good example". Thank you for the laughs!

Teddi H, Minnesota

To Lynn and her team, I will take what ever you put down on paper. I have been a long time fan and will always have a strip space in my heart for your work. If and when you do finish the strip for good, if you could have a little update, you know like maybe April went on and ... Elizabeth... Michael... I know that I will miss your Patterson family and all the extended family as well. I am glad you have produced books, that way I will always have your work. Good Luck

Working full time, going to community college, and taking care of a husband gets busy-so much so that a newspaper is a luxury. But I always make time to read your strips online. They are my sanity and bring a good perspective to our little home. Looking forward to seeing the start of the story, as it will be close to home for us.

Diana S, California

today's strip was the first time when I could see the delightful possibilities of how your blended strip can work, with the super teddy toss!:)

Seeing the old strips makes me realize how wonderful it can be when you fully retire to see the strips begin again from the beginning with a young Elly and toddlers. They'll be just as beloved the second time around, and I hope you do this and have them rerun (every 30 years and begin again and again...).

Many thanks,

Sandy, Red Deer Alberta

Dear Lynn,

I just finished listening to your podcast interview. You sound just as nice as your writing comes across. I wish you were my next door neighbor! :)

I have one comment about the new hybrid strip. If I hadn't read about it in advance I would have no clue that there was any change to the format. Your new work is seamlessly done and I still look forward to the strip each morning as I always have.

Stay true to yourself. (I know you will!) That is what has made your work so great. My best wishes to you!

Stephanie W, Oklahoma City

Lynn,

Like many others, I have grown up with the Pattersons and have watched from the beginnging all that has happened.

I am a few years older than Michael, but can relate to his angst of having a new little sister and having to learn to share.

It is with heavy heart that I say goodbye to the old and hello to the new. I love the hybrid that you are doing now. Showing Merry how her father grew up in that same house is amazing (YEAH SUPPER TEDDY!!!!!!!!!!!) and so are the story lines with Liz and Anthony.....

I wish you all the best in what you do in the future and hope that many more people will learn to love the Pattersons in their book formatts as much as we all have growing up and growing old with them in all these years in newsprint.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Simply put - thank you for FBORFW .... it's the last thing I read in my Saturday paper (coloured comics section) - the reality portrayed has helped in those moments when I have felt that I am "the only one" with some issues - and laughter continues to be the best medicine ... I have read faithfully since the strip started and really appreciate the website for "catching up" on what I have missed from time to time.

Suzanne, Halifax

I love the new hybrid comics. I am 30 years old and have been following FB/FW since I was in high school. The intermingling of the old strips gives me a chance to see strips I was too young to read or even understand. Plus, with two children under the age of 5 years, I can even more relate to some of the stips. Thank you for a thoughtful, realife strip that I enjoy every day. Keep up the good work, my day would not be complete without FB/FW

I first encountered your great comic art when I was teaching Lamaze way back when, and I let couples borrow DAVID, WE'RE PREGNANT. I've followed FBorFW faithfully, and everyone I know loves your strip. THANK YOU for so many years of humor and human insight, all drawn with marvelous talent.

Nancy R, Los Gatos, CA

Hi Lynn:

I'm glad you've decided to keep going with the strip, even if it's in 'hybrid' mode. FBOFW's been in the Chicago Tribune since nearly the beginning of the strip, so I'll date myself and say I've been a fan since high school! :)

Keep up the good work and please keep those new strips interspersed with the flashbacks - which are great btw!

Eric, Chicago

I am happy to have just discovered this website, because I have been wanting to thank Lynn for many years of entertainment. April was born at the same time as my son, and I cut out the strip that showed Elly and the baby crying through the night, and added it to the baby album. We were teaching bike riding at the same time, too. Yes, you have touched the lives of so many of us, and we thank you.

Kyle, Granville Ohio
